| The Surfactants Library contains 637 spectra of
commercially available surfactants. The collection includes detergents, defoaming agents
and dispersing agents. Chemically, the classes of compounds include alkyl and aryl
polyether glycol ethers and esters, sulfates, sulfonates, phosphates, quarternary ammonium
salts, amines, amides, silicones, silicates, glycerides, fluoro-surfactants and other
alcohols and esters. Thermo Scientific wishes to
acknowledge the cooperation of Dr. Clara D. Craver and Donald G. Hesse of ChemIR
Laboratories in the preparation of this library. Their laboratory obtained the samples
from the manufacturers and collected the FT-IR spectral data. The samples were in the form
of capillary films or melts on KBr, cast films on KRS-5, or pressed KBr pellets. |
