The Georgia State Forensic Drugs Library is a collection of 1,940 infrared spectra of drugs and drug-related compounds.

The data were collected at 4 cm-1 spectral resolution on a Thermo Scientific FT-IR spectrometer.

Samples in the library include drugs, diluents, drug precursors and other drug-related compounds. Whenever possible, samples were secured as "pure" drug standards from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Applied Sciences Laboratories, United States Pharmacopoeial Conventions, Inc. or various pharmaceutical companies. The sample purity was usually greater than 95%, and in many cases greater than 99%. Unless otherwise stated, the components were prepared for spectral analysis using potassium bromide (KBr) pellets.
